AI & Operational
Transformation
The core question is straightforward: how can your organization use AI to operate better? Not a technology implementation project. A practical operational question — answered by someone who has run real businesses in regulated industries.
The right perspective on AI
I am not an AI engineer, machine-learning scientist, or software developer. I am an experienced executive who is deliberately learning, implementing, measuring, and reporting what actually works when AI is applied inside real operating businesses.
Most businesses attempt to add AI on top of broken processes and fragmented organizational knowledge. The result is faster chaos. Before any automation, the organization needs to understand how work actually flows, document it, and make deliberate decisions about what should be done by people, what should be AI-assisted, and what should be automated.
In regulated industries, this requires even more discipline. You cannot automate compliance judgment or regulatory decisions without a clear framework for what the AI is doing and where humans remain accountable.
The decision framework
Every task or decision in your business falls into one of four categories. Getting that classification right is the work.
Retain
Identify what requires executive judgment or accountability and must stay with leadership. Not everything should be delegated or automated.
Approve
Work prepared by AI and approved by a human. The output quality improves; the human stays accountable for the decision.
Delegate
Work handed to employees using AI assistance. The team becomes more capable without adding headcount.
Automate
Fully automated where technology and risk permit. Rules-based, repetitive, low-judgment work that doesn't need a human in the loop.
Where I apply it
Common engagement types — shaped around the specific organization and industry.
Founder Dependency Reduction
A structured program to map everything that flows through the founder — and systematically determine what can be retained, approved, delegated, or automated.
Knowledge Capture & Documentation
Converting institutional knowledge, SOPs, and founder decision logic into structured organizational knowledge that survives without the person.
Management Reporting & KPI Dashboards
Automated reporting that surfaces the right information to the right people — without manual compilation or founder interpretation.
Executive Decision Support
AI tools that help leadership make better-informed decisions — on competitive positioning, financial forecasting, production planning, and more.
Administrative Workflow Automation
Reducing the administrative overhead that consumes executive and management time — communications, reporting, documentation, scheduling.
Regulatory & Compliance Documentation
Using AI to accelerate SOP development, audit preparation, and compliance documentation in regulated environments.
Bragg Creek Distillers — AI Transformation
The first major AI transformation project is happening inside my own regulated manufacturing business. The objective is to systematically identify every function currently dependent on the founder and determine the right classification for each: retain, approve, delegate, or automate.
The project documents current processes, founder responsibilities, time requirements, organizational knowledge, decision points, AI opportunities, delegation opportunities, SOP requirements, and human oversight requirements — with the goal of materially reducing founder dependency without degrading operational performance.
